Woman killed in Hamilton County crash

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- One woman was killed in a crash in Hamilton County Friday morning.

Two vehicles crashed near the intersection of 206th Street and Mule Barn Road around 9 a.m. 

Patricia Douglass, 52, of Westfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to a press release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Travis Correll, 30, of Peru was driving eastbound on 206th Street. Douglass was driving north bound on Mule Barn Road. According to witness statements, Correll did not stop at the stop sign on 206th Street and hit Douglass on the driver's side of her vehicle, causing both vehicles to leave the road and end up in a nearby yard. 

Correll was treated by medics and released at the scene. One passenger in Correll's vehicle was taken by air ambulance to St. Vincent for treatment of pain and other injuries. A juvenile passenger was taken by family members to Riley Hospital to be checked out.
