SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the injuries sustained by a dog that was found with severe chemical burns last week.
A good Samaritan found the dog, now named Justice, wandering down the road and called the Shelby County Animal Shelter for help.
The shelter determined that Justice had severe chemical burns on his face and along his back, as well as cuts on his tongue, and the injuries seriously infected.

Caregivers say Justice remains in critical care as of Friday and is receiving nutrition through a feeding tube, but he has slowly begun eating on his own.
Justice4Justice, a group raising funds and awareness for the pup’s care shared the following update with RTV6 on Friday: He takes multiple walks throughout their clinic and looks forward to that. His tail now wags and they can see his beautiful brown eyes and his swelling has reduced.
