Silver Alert canceled for missing Avon man

UPDATE: The statewide Silver Alert for a missing 80-year-old Avon man has been canceled, police said.

AVON — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 80-year-old Avon man who is believed to be in extreme danger.

According to the alert, the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of Joseph Lack, 80. Lack is described as a white male, 5-feet 11-inches tall, weighing 178 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a U.S. Air Force veteran hat, light blue jacket, and khaki pants.

Lack is believed to be driving a bronze 1994 Ford F150 truck with a camper shell and Indiana license plate FL412B.

Lack is missing from Avon and was last seen on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Lack is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
