FISHERS — The patriotic party is getting started early in Hamilton County.
Spark!Fishers kicked off Friday with a free concert at the Nickel Plate Amphitheater. Some festival goers were impressed with the musical acts, Vertical Horizon and Tonic.
"I saw the band names, and I was really impressed because I've always wanted to see Vertical Horizon," one fan said. "They've been on my list forever. And then Tonic also has a banger from the 90s, so I mean, I've always wanted to see it live."
The festival ramps up Saturday with an all-day celebration. Events include a 5K run through the Nickel Plate District, a street fair and festival, parade and fireworks.
