UPDATE: The statewide Silver Alert issued for a missing 16-year-old girl from Avon has been canceled.
AVON — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 16-year-old girl who may be in extreme danger, authorities said.
According to the Silver Alert, the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of Christina Owen, 16, from Avon.
Owen is described as a white female, 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing dark-colored glasses, a grey hoodie, black shorts and black tennis shoes.
Deputies said she was last seen at 2 p.m. Wednesday. She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
Anyone with information on Owen's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office at 317-839-8700.
