BLOOMINGTON—A Bloomington woman faces drunk driving charges after police found Patricia Ann Ritzenthaler and her car stuck on a curb.

In this case, it was state police who made the arrest and the incident happened at the Indiana State Police post near I 69 and State Road 46 in Bloomington.

"Her vehicle was hanging freely over a steep ledge when Trooper Sam Wagner arrived at the scene," according to ISP Public Information Officer Sgt. Curt Durnil. "Trooper Wagner's investigation, his experience and a certified breath test led him to discover several factors of probable cause that Ritzenthaler was intoxicated."

She was charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Operating With a Blood Content of Greater Than .08% BAC.

The ISP post is on Packinghouse Road, which is a dead end street. Why Ritzenthaler would drive her car into the post parking lot isn't clear.
