Teacher credited with saving lives in Noblesville school shooting wins honor and money for school

NOBLESVILLE — Hero teacher, Jason Seaman, has received special recognition for his act of bravery one year ago this month.

Seaman was among the three grand prize winners earning $15,000 for Noblesville West Middle School. The science teacher is credited for saving lives by pinning down a school shooter on May 25.

Seaman was nominated for a "Giving Joy" award offered by Norwegian Cruise Line. As part of National Teacher Appreciation Week, Seaman won a seven-day cruise and brought home $15,000 for his school.
