PUTNAM COUNTY — A teacher at North Putnam High School is under investigation for "inappropriate" contact with students.

The school is near Bainbridge in Putnam County, about 50-miles west of Indianapolis.

Superintendent Dr. Nicole Singer sent a letter to parents, but there were few specifics:

On Tuesday, June 9, 2020 school administrators were made aware of allegations involving one of our high school teachers having inappropriate contact with students. Administrators immediately contacted local law enforcement to report the allegations.

Because our primary concern is always the safety and security of all students, the corporation is fully cooperating with law enforcement and will respond with the appropriate course of action regarding these allegations.

WRTV will follow this case and will report additional information as it becomes available.
