Three injured in single-vehicle crash on Interstate-69 in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON — Three people were injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Interstate-69 in Bloomington.

Northern Monroe County Fire Protection Territory firefighters and emergency personnel were called around 12:45 a.m. to Interstate-69 southbound, just north of the Sample Road exit, on the report of a single-vehicle crash, the department said in a Facebook post.

When they arrived on scene, they found three people who were ejected, according to the post. One of the passengers ejected from the car was taken to an Indianapolis hospital by a medical helicopter. Two other passengers who were ejected were taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital by an ambulance.

Five other people in the car did not need any medical assistance, according to the post.

The identity of the driver or the passengers have not been released.
