INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are in critical condition, and another is in stable condition following a shooting on the east side Wednesday afternoon, said the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police.
IMPD confirmed officers responded to a report of multiple people shot in the 1200 block of North Irvington Avenue just before 4 p.m.
While officers were at the residence, IMPD received a separate call reporting an adult male and adult female walked in to Community East Hospital with gunshot wounds, both in critical condition.
A third victim, an adult male, was located inside the residence in stable condition.
IMPD confirmed a person of interest has been taken into custody.
Officer Drew Brown of IMPD told WRTV this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
