TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. -- Two people were killed in a crash Saturday night in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
The crash happened around 10:40 p.m., near the intersection of US 231 and US 52. A 911 caller reported seeing a vehicle that had slid off the road and rolled multiple times.
Craig Norris, 43, Lafayette, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving the vehicle.
The passenger, 36-year-old Tessa Hamelman, of Oxford, Indiana, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department, the road was ice-covered at the time of the crash. Neither person was wearing a seatbelt, and both were ejected.
