Two dead in separate Indianapolis accidents

One on east side, the other northwest

INDIANAPOLIS—Two people are dead, following a pair of early-evening accidents on separate sides of Indianapolis, Tuesday.

According to a public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a three-vehicle accident at 5300 West Kessler Boulevard North Drive left one person dead. The location is near Broadmoor Country Club.

A bit later, on the city's far east side, a pedestrian was killed near East Washington Street and German Church Road.

The victim was crossing the street when struck by a truck.

Police say the driver of the truck stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.
