SPEEDWAY — Two people were injured in a serious crash Wednesday night in Speedway.
Speedway Fire Department crews and emergency personnel were called around 10:45 p.m. to the 500 block of West 25th Street, near Georgetown Road, on the report of a crash, SFD Battalion Chief Everett Cheney said at the scene. When they arrived, they found drivers of both vehicles trapped in their cars.
It took crews about 25 minutes to get both drivers out of their cars, Cheney said. Crews had to remove the roof from one vehicle.
They were taken to Eskenazi Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, Cheney said. Their exact conditions are unknown.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Cheney said.
