Uber unveils new hub in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS -- The popular rideshare service Uber unveiled its new Indianapolis hub on Thursday. 

Greenlight Hub” is located on North Meridian Street near Fall Creek Parkway.

The hub will be staffed by four Uber employees and will operate as a support center for new and existing local drivers in the Indianapolis area.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) joined Uber to celebrate the opening and encourage party-goers to plan ahead and designate a driver ahead of the NCAA tournament weekend.

“At Mothers Against Drunk Driving we want to encourage all riders whose plans include alcohol to designate a non-drinking driver to make sure your and others’ celebrations don’t end in tragedy. We’re so happy to have MADD representative Devon James. 

Indiana Pacers Guard Glenn Robinson III attended the to event on Thursday to celebrate the new community investment and meet with drivers.

The hub will be open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m to 5 p.m.
