INDIANAPOLIS — People gathered for the eighth day Friday of continued protests in Indianapolis.
A curfew for Marion County will go in effect at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday until 6 a.m. the following day.

Peaceful protests started Friday afternoon and went into the evening.
Protesters gathered at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's Northwest District headquarters.
Around 7:15 p.m., some protesters marched to the intersection of 38th Street and Lafayette Road, on the city's northwest side, and have shut the roads down. Some people in their cars near the intersection were honking their horns.
They returned to the police's district headquarters after the 8 p.m. curfew.
