HAGERSTOWN, Ind. — Hagerstown Police Department officers have a new tool to help catch those who disregard stop signs on school buses.
In a Facebook post Sunday, police said they are working closely with the Nettle Creek School District to add cameras to busses.
So far, police say they have issued three citations to people who did not stop when the stop arm was activated.
The cameras on the bus are turned on when the stop arm is activated. When a driver does not stop for the bus, the camera takes a picture and sends it to police.
