MOORESVILLE — A woman is dead and a man injured following a Wednesday afternoon house fire in Mooresville.
The Mooresville Fire Department was called to a house on Fairwood Court on the Morgan County town's north side just after 2 p.m.
According to Fire Chief Kevin Julian, firefighters were able to get a man out of the house. He was rushed to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment. A woman described as "elderly" by the fire department died. Her identity has not been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Mooresville Fire Department is asking any witnesses with videos, pictures or information that could help in the investigation to call the dispatch center at 317-831-3434.
