Two Louisiana high school English teachers were arrested this week amid allegations they had group sex with a 16-year-old male student last month.
Rachel Respess, 24, and Shelley Dufresne, 32, employees of Destrehan High School, were booked on charges of having carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, according to Kenner (Louisiana) Police Chief Michael Glaser.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that Respess and Dufresne took the boy to Respess' apartment in Kenner after a Destrehan football game on Sept. 12 — where the tryst occured. "The three had sex simultaneously until the early morning hours of the 13th," according to a report from WGNO.
The three apparently had an ongoing sexual relationship; police are investigating rumors that some of their past encounters were videotaped.
Dufresne was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having sex with the boy at her home in Montz, Louisiana, according to the Times-Picayune. Respess turned herself in to police on Wednesday morning, accompanied by her attorney.
Both could face more than 17 years in prison if convicted, according to Glaser.
