People along the East Coast have prepared for Hurricane Florence's arrival — buildings are boarded up, gasoline pumps are secured, boats are out of the water ... the region has braced.
The massive storm is expected to make landfall in the early morning hours on Friday. But high winds and waves are already lashing the coast.
As of 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday, the hurricane was a Category 2, with winds at 110 miles per hour.
