Rapper Vanilla Ice says he was aboard a plane that landed at JFK Airport in New York City on Wednesday when it was reported to officials that nearly 100 people became ill.
Medical officials met the plane on the runway, and 10 people were immediately treated for an illness.
According to his Twitter account, Vanilla Ice was not aware that other passengers had taken ill. He said he was on the upper floor of the two-story AirBus 380.
"Apparently there is over 100 people sick on the bottom floor, so happy I’m up top, it’s a double-decker plane 380," he tweeted.
According to his website, Vanilla Ice was returning home from a Sept. 4 speaking engagement in Dubai.
