INDIANAPOLIS — One year ago today, Gov. Eric Holcomb made dreams come true in Indiana.
Holcomb signed the bill to allow alcohol sales on Sundays in Indiana on Feb. 28, 2018.
His signature changed a law that was in effect since the 1800s.
To celebrate the law change, many Indiana liquor stores held discounts on alcohol bought on Sundays.
What didn’t change last year? The law against cold beer sales at grocery, convenience and drug stores.
That issue didn’t come up among leaders in this year’s session, so it doesn’t look like anything will change anytime soon.
