INDIANAPOLIS — Several school boards in Central Indiana were hoping to pass school board referendums Tuesday.
Center Grove
Center Grove schools was hoping to bring in $24.8 million over the next eight years with the referendum to increase student safety and security.
The referendum did not pass, with 4,833 people voting against and 2,681 people voting for the referendum.

The school board wanted to use the referendum to hire more school resource and safety officers and camera monitoring systems.
Lawrence Township
MSD of Lawrence Township passed a $191 million over the next 20 years to make facility upgrades on some of the districts aging buildings.
One of the buildings, Lawrence Central High School hasn't had a major renovation since 1993. Lawrence North has never had a major renovation.
