WASHINGTON D.C., -- Former Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.) is one step closer to being the director of national intelligence for President Donald Trump.
The Senate Intelligence Committee voted Thursday to advance Coats' nomination to a full Senate vote.
The vote was 13-2. Democrats Ron Wyden of Oregon and Kamala Harris of California voted no.
According to TheHill, the only major concern brought up by the committee was that Coats could be too nice for the job.
