ADVANCE — One man is dead after a house fire Thursday night in Boone County, fire officials said.
Firefighters with the Advance Fire Department responded to a house fire at 7:12 p.m. in the 3300 block of South County Road 700 West, according to the Boone County Coroner's Office.
During a search of the house, they found a man who medics pronounced dead at the scene.
The Boone County Coroner's Office is investigating the man's death, and an autopsy is scheduled.
The man's name has not been released.
