PENDLETON — A rural Pendleton man was critically injured Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash outside Pendleton.
According to a report from the Madison County Sheriff's Department, the crash happened on Fall Creek Drive south of State Road 38.
Deputies said a 75-year-old man was traveling north on Fall Creek Drive approximately a quarter-mile south of State Road 38 when the vehicle went off the side of the road and struck a tree.
According to deputies, the driver was unrestrained at the time of the crash and was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
