INDIANAPOLIS — A memorial fund to help support the family of fallen Marion County Sheriff's Deputy John Durm has been established.
The fund has been established by the Central Indiana Police Foundation to help his family with the unexpected expenses associated with this tragedy.
Those wishing to donate can do so here. As always, officials warn of fake funding sites, and encourage those to only donate to memorial funds supported by law enforcement officials.
Deputy Durm was killed in the line of duty on Monday, July 10 while transporting a murder suspect to the Criminal Justice Center.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 17 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, followed by graveside services at the Heroes of Public Safety at Crown Hill Cemetery.
