INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon on the west side of Indianapolis, according to police.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called to the crash around 1:30 p.m. in the 600 block of West 29th Street, near Dr. MLK Jr. Street.

Officers are still investigating the incident, IMPD Sgt. Grace Sibley said in an email.

"I'll probably go home and have a good cry, it just makes you appreciate life more," Douglas Cline, who witnessed the crash, said. "Wish people would slow down so this type of thing wouldn't happen."

The identity of the person killed hasn't been released.
