NOBLESVILLE — One person was rescued from a Noblesville apartment fire late Thursday by their next-door neighbor, firefighters said.
It happened at an apartment in the 5400 block of Village Winds Drive in the Pebble Brook Village Apartments, according to the Noblesville Fire Department.
One person was transported to the burn center at Eskenazi Health, firefighters said. The victim was pulled from the fire by his next-door neighbor.
Officials with the fire department said the first units on the scene were met with a large volume of flames and smoke. Two apartments were significantly damaged.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Firefighters from the Westfield Fire Department assisted Noblesville at the scene.
