JOHNSON COUNTY — A fiery wrong way crash killed two people Monday night on U.S. 31 north of Edinburgh, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the area of US 31 and State Road 252 around 9:20 p.m.
According to the accident report, a Jeep was driving south in the northbound lanes at around 60 miles per hour. A witness saw the Jeep hit a Krispy Kreme truck head-on and both caught fire.
Olivia Humes, 30, and Charles Cobb, 42, died at the scene. The Johnson County Sheriff says no one else was in either vehicle.
At this time, it is unknown why the Jeep was driving the wrong way.
