INDIANAPOLIS — University of Indianapolis Police and officers with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a reported armed carjacking in a parking lot on campus, according to the university and a police report.
The incident happened around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday evening in the 1400 block of East Hanna Avenue, according to UIPD case report. Associate Vice President of Communications at the University of Indianapolis, Sara Galer, told WRTV the incident happened in a parking lot on campus.
A vehicle, cell phone and cash were taken during the incident, according to the case report. The cell phone was later recovered during the investigation.
It's unclear at this time if any injuries were reported. It's also unclear if police are still searching for a suspect in the case.
