BARGERSVILLE, Ind. --Santa is heading to Johnson, Morgan and Brown counties this Friday.
The Indiana Rail Road’s annual Santa Train is a 29-year tradition that brings holiday cheer to children in the small towns along the railroad’s route between Indianapolis and Illinois.
After departing Indianapolis early Friday afternoon, the train arrives in Bargersville at 3 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., the train heads south to Morgantown, stopping there at 6:30 p.m.
From Morgantown, it’s on to Helmsburg for an 8:30 p.m. appearance.
On Saturday, the train makes stops in Solsberry, Bloomfield, Linton, Dugger and Jasonville.
At each stop, children can meet Santa and his helpers.
The railroad will also hand out coats, hats and gloves to families in need.
The Santa Train typically draws large crowds, so families are urged to arrive early.
Tickets will be handed out when the train stops.
There is no charge to visit the train, but a ticket is required.
