GREENE COUNTY, Ind. -- Three people have been found dead in a home in southwestern Indiana in what police are calling a double murder-suicide.

Indiana State Police say they received a call around 8:30 a.m. from a neighbor who heard screaming and shots being fired at a residence in the 7000 block of N. State Road 43.

When deputies arrived they found three adults dead at the scene.

The three have been identified as Peggy Burks, 73, her caregiver Debra Floyd, 58, and Lawrence Burks, 71.

State police have not determined a motive at this time but detectives discovered there was a Protective Order in place against Lawrence for Peggy and other court proceedings underway.

The murder weapons and other identifying information about the case have not been released.

The deaths remain under investigation by Indiana State Police.
