After 84 years, Indiana potato chip company Seyfert's is closing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- After more than 80 years of business, an Indiana snack company is shutting down its production. 

Seyfert's was founded in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1934. 

Seyfert's employees will receive one week of pay for every year of service and will be offered job placement services, according to WPTA in Fort Wayne.

In 2001, Troyer Farms acquired Seyfert Foods.
