Gas prices are dropping across the country, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA).

Average prices are under $2 in 20 states, including Indiana.

Prices at the pump are now down to a level not seen nationwide in more than four months. Many of the lowest prices are in the southeast and midwest.

Industry experts say the current trend indicates those lower prices will soon be available to the rest of the nation.

Oil prices are said to be falling as well, partly because of concerns over a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The drop is also partly due to the fact that prices typically go down as we move into fall and winter.
