COLUMBIA CITY — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Columbia City girl who is believed to be in extreme danger.
According to the Silver Alert, the Whitley County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of Madaya Schuman, 17, of Columbia City.
Schuman is described as a white female, 5-feet 1-inch tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in a beige 2001 Buick LeSabre with Indiana plate 825DGY.
Police said Schuman is believed to be in the company of Geddy Hopkins, 28. Hopkins is described as a white male, 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 230 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. An unidentified Hispanic male is also believed to be with Schuman and Hopkins.
Police said Schuman was last seen at 2:47 a.m. Thursday. She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
