BOONE COUNTY – Work on a $62.8 million I-65 project in Boone County will begin this week.
The southbound left lane of I-65 will close beginning Tuesday night.
The project will add new pavement near the I-65 and I-865 interchange and improvements to the I-65 exit ramp to Whitestown Parkway.
Plans for the project have been in the works for about 7 years, long before the fatal crash in January in the area.
