TERRE HAUTE — The Hamilton Center has announced the opening of two new opioid treatment programs for Hendricks and Knox counties, on Wednesday, January 23.

The State of Indiana awarded Hamilton Center with the licenses for both of the programs.

The program is the first of its kind in the area and will provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) and behavioral health interventions to address those with opioid use disorders.

On Friday, January 4, the Indiana State Department of Health announced the launch of a program that would help bring healthcare providers, who specialize in mental health, to rural areas of Indiana.

Opioids kill thousands of Hoosiers each year and now cause more deaths than car crashes.
