Truthiness will burn on, even if The Colbert Report's flame is extinguished.
Comedian Stephen Colbert announced at a Thursday taping the end date for his Emmy and Peabody-award winning show:
On Dec. 18, DVRs worldwide will become very confused.
Colbert moves from Comedy Central to CBS in 2015, where he replaces David Letterman on The Late Show. However, the satirical conservative persona that Colbert has played since 2005, the one that built what he calls The Colbert Nation, is not expected to follow him.
