Watergate editor Ben Bradlee dies

At The Washington Post and beyond, he was legendary.

Ben Bradlee, the editor who oversaw the Watergate story that brought down President Richard Nixon, has died.

He died at his home in Washington Tuesday, of natural causes, The Washington Post reports. He was 93.

President Barack Obama, who awarded Bradlee the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013, released a statement, which The Washington Post tweeted:
