Ben Bradlee, the editor who oversaw the Watergate story that brought down President Richard Nixon, has died.
He died at his home in Washington Tuesday, of natural causes, The Washington Post reports. He was 93.
Washington insiders mourned Bradlee on social media:
Ben Bradlee will live forever, immortalized for the courage he showed at one of America's darkest hours. RIP.

President Barack Obama, who awarded Bradlee the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013, released a statement, which The Washington Post tweeted:
