INDIANAPOLIS — Metro police are searching for the suspect in a weekend road rage shooting on the southeast side. This comes just days after a man was murdered in another reported road rage incident.
A convenience store at Raymond Street and South Keystone Avenue was swarmed with police on Sunday night, around 9:30 p.m., where officers found a 19-year-old woman had been shot. The woman was in the back of an SUV she had been driving when she was shot at least once.

The woman is now out of the hospital, but police are asking the public for help in locating the suspect in what they're calling a road rage shooting.
In surveillance video (above) obtained by RTV6, you can see the police cars arriving on the scene before officers start looking for evidence on the ground.
Investigators say it all started in the 1600 block of south Keystone Avenue. The driver of a silver Nissan pulled up next to the woman's SUV and began to shoot. The suspect then takes off, the woman pulls into the gas station and waits for police.
Here are the road-rage signs you need to be aware of:
If another driver,
- uses obscene gestures.
- verbal assaults.
- intentionally crashes into other cars.
- threatens to use weapons.
To diffuse a road rage situation, police say to do the following:
- Do not engage other drivers. Even if they've done something to make you angry, or vice versa.
- Put as much distance between you and them as possible.
- Avoid making eye contact.
- Never pull off the roadway to confront another driver.
- If you suspect you're being followed or targeted, get to a safe place where there are people.
- Use your phone and call police immediately.
- Do NOT drive home.
