INDIANAPOLIS — An Irvington man says a tow company damaged his property when his car was returned from the impound lot.

Michael Hatfield says his car was dropped off late one night after he was involved in a crash.

There is damage to the fence, yard and there was grass in his muffler.

The next day, Hatfield called the tow company to talk to them about the damages.

"He said he hadn't spoken with the tow truck driver because he was a night driver," Hatfield said. " "I haven't heard from him since."

RTV6 reached out to the tow company and they said they were waiting for Hatfield to send them the video. The owner says they are willing to fix the fence, but wished Hatfield would have maintained contact instead of posting about it on social media.

The owner also said the tow truck driver was trying to put the car where Hatfield wanted it, but says it may not have been the right call.
