INDIANAPOLIS — A man has been arrested after police say he shot and killed a family member over the weekend.
Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Worcester Ave. for a report of a person shot around 5:30 p.m.
Arriving officers located an adult male who appeared to have been shot. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
The Marion County Coroner identified the victim as Joey Sheriff, 33.
During the course of their investigation detectives identified the victim's 21-year-old brother, as a possible suspect. He was arrested later that day and is facing charges for his role in the incident. WRTV does not name suspects that have not been formally charged.
The Marion County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the case at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation.
