Portion of I-70 Westbound closes for one month starting Friday

INDIANAPOLIS — Parts of I-70 West will be closed for a month starting Friday for concrete patching and work on bridges in the area.

I-70 heading westbound toward the airport will be the most impacted area with closures. The Indiana Department of Transportation says all collector lanes will be open to and from the airport during the closures, so to get to the airport from I-70 westbound take I-465 southbound to Ronald Reagan collector lanes. Another option is to continue north on I-465 to get back on to I-70 west.

These full interstate closures will make for fast work and, most importantly, ensures the safety of road workers.

The timing of this work is, of course, weather dependent.
