INDIANAPOLIS — HVAC and plumbing are considered an essential business. Still, the folks at Williams Comfort Air and Mr. Plumber decided they would not be doing preventive maintenance during this time to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
To make sure their employees still get a full week of work, they’ve come up with a plan to help the community.
“We don’t want to be a part of the problem with covid-19 we want to a part of the solution,” said Matt Tyner, he’s the director of marketing for the company.
Tyner told me that during this pandemic, they want to give back.
“This is a time for us to stop just being HVAC technicians or plumbing technicians,” said Tyner.
Tyner said because they have stopped making non-essential appointments like preventative maintenance tune-ups and inspections, they needed to find a way for their employees to get a full week of work.
“We will do free grocery deliveries for anyone within our coverage area that is considered high risk,” said Tyner.
He said they’ve also added doctors, nurses, and first responders to the list of people they will deliver to.
If you live in their service area and want to take advantage of their offer all you have to do is call.
“We just ask that people place their order as normal on Kroger Click List, Meijer Curbside, Walmart, Target. Place their online orders like usual write down the information the confirmation number and store location and give our team a call,” said Tyner.
Tyner said the only thing they ask is that the pickup time is set between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“We’re here for whoever needs us.”
Again you want to make sure you have the confirmation number and store location written down before you call—Tyner sais you can call the day or your pick up or even a week before to get it scheduled ... They just want to help.
