INDIANAPOLIS — A local catering company is asking for the public's help feeding families who need help during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hoaglin Fine Catering's sponsor a meal program helps give families of four-six a hot meal. The meals come with salad, entrée, side dish, and dessert.

It's working with the Damien Center and the Mary Rigg neighborhood Center to reach families who may need help.

People or businesses who want to help can call and purchase a fully prepared meal for $45.

With the help of the community centers, the meals will then be delivered to families.

"We all are in this together," said Missy Brodey, director of sales for Hoaglin Fine Catering said. "That's something that has been said over and again. It's a small effort on your part that is going to make a huge difference in someone's life. Food insecurity is probably at an all time high. Everybody is deserving of a hot meal."

The pandemic and social distancing restrictions have canceled or postponed several large events, like weddings and corporate events. The new program helps keep the company busy.
