FISHERS — A Fishers apartment complex chain is working together to reward tenants while helping to boost nearby businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sue Anthony, the vice president of Regency Windsor, says they're rewarding 100 tenants for paying rent on time with gift cards to local restaurants. The company has four properties, Sunblest, Sunlake, The Woods of Britton, and Lakes of Windsor. She says the owners came up with the idea.

"We were each given the task to pick local family-owned businesses and restaurants we have some type of connection with," Anthony said.

The goal is to help pour money into restaurants surrounding the properties who need help.

Winners get a $50 gift card to the restaurant of their choice.
