INDIANAPOLIS -- Members of the Indiana National Guard are working hard these days at the Midwest Food Bank in Indianapolis, organizing and sending off food at a time when the need is great.
Thursday, guard members were treated to some food themselves. A hot meal from the Mozel Sanders foundation, the organization that puts on the huge Thanksgiving dinner for the community each year.
"It's very important to show people that they are appreciated even when they do not actually expect it, it sends another level of respect," said Ryan Holly of the Sanders Foundation.
The food for Thursday's lunch was provided by Michael's Soul Kitchen.
