FISHERS — Monday was a big day in Hamilton County as restaurants were allowed to reopen at 50% capacity.
HC Tavern and Kitchen in Fishers had been closed since March 16, but on Monday they were ready for customers again.
Tables are set for social distancing, employees are wearing protective masks and gloves and there is hand sanitizer throughout the restaurant.
Another safety precaution the restaurant is implementing are single-use menus, which can be thrown away after use.
Owner, Craig Huse, says his team is doing a lot of things to make guests feel safe.
"We're safely, and really, intentionally taking the safety measures to make it a great dining experience I know for a fact people ready to be served and they're ready to not empty their dishwasher out as many time they are let us do that work we're here for you.
One good tip future patrons should know is that it's probably a good idea to get reservations before you go out to eat because of the 50% occupancy rule.
HC Tavern and Kitchen has almost 200 reservations for tonight alone.
