INDIANAPOLIS — Mimi Blue Meatballs announced on Thursday that it had raised over $10,000 to provide meals to local hospital workers.

The restaurant known for its classic food selection has a program called "Mimi Blue Good Food."

Through this program, the restaurant has partnered with companies, individuals and families to provide a total of 50 meals to any essential local organization working to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.

"With a major focus on supporting first responders and health care employees, the initiative is open to supporting others in need," the Mimi Blue announcement read.

Since raising $10,000, the eatery has delivered meals to St. Vincent Hospital, Eskenazi Hospital, Riverview Hospital, Community Hospital North and IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Whoever wishes to be a sponsor in the Mimi Blue Good Food program, gets to choose the recipient of those meals, as well. Those wanting to serve as a sponsor or have questions regarding the program can send an email to admin@mimiblue.com.

Mimi Blues is still open for a full-service carryout and delivery at all three of its locations — Carmel, Mass Ave and the Fashion Mall.
