Ray Steele has spent more than 25 years in journalism, and he has been with WRTV since 2016.
A native of Georgia, Ray has been a Hoosier for more than a decade now. He loves working to feature the thriving arts and music scene in Central Indiana, with special love for jazz, marching band, hip hop and – the greatest of the performance arts – professional wrestling. You can see much of Ray’s work on the WRTV News live stream channel on your favorite streaming service – such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV.
Ray also loves everything old, so if there is a dated television, movie, cartoon or music reference made in the WRTV newsroom, it’s most likely coming from his desk.
Ray, his wife and family now call Hancock County home. He attended Jacksonville State University in Alabama, but he has been an Alabama Crimson Tide fan since New Year’s Day 1979 – Bama’s 14-7 victory over Penn State in the Sugar Bowl that secured a National Championship.
